This album was released in 1969, and unlike Glen Campbell's previous album he now no longer felt the need to cover AM radio contemporary hits such as "Dock of the Bay", and selected more country songs with a pop embellishment. This album features 2 songs written by Jimmy Webb, which became the 2 hits from this album, the title track "Galveston", which I prefer the Jimmy Webb solo version of, and "Where's The Playground Susie".
