Harry Nilsson - Son Of Schmilsson (1972)

One of my favorite records by Harry Nilsson. Though this was considered to be a follow up to Nilsson Schmilsson,  with this album he decided that since he already had a hit album and was hanging with The Beatles, he might as well indulge in his song writing talent and put together an album that's completely unhinged. Though all the songs somewhat enter a melodic pop/rock territory, the records kind of all over the place. Within the first three tracks there's a rocker tribute to a groupie, a piano ballad, and a country song, with horror movie sound effects mixed in between, and the unpredictability of the album holds up all the way through, but it's done so in an absolutely amazing way.
