Renamed "If You Could Read My Mind" after the song became such a success, this 1970 album was Gordon Lightfoot's first commercial success as a performer. Featuring guest appearances from fellow musicians and labelmates Van Dyke Parks, Ry Cooder, and John B. Sebastian, as well as string arrangements by Randy Newman, and Nick DeCaro.
